Terms & Production Notes
Effective date: 12 August 2026. These terms apply to every quote issued and every project commissioned from Nook and Glow ("the studio"). Requesting a quote or paying a deposit means you've read and accepted them.
1. What the studio does
Nook and Glow produces commercials and product films as a digital production studio. Each project is scoped individually: the deliverables, timeline, and price are fixed in a written quote (WhatsApp or email counts as written) before production begins. The quote — together with these terms — is the whole agreement.
2. Production methods
The studio works in a hybrid digital pipeline. Depending on the brief, production may include 3D and CGI software (such as Blender and Unreal Engine), generative and machine-learning-assisted rendering technologies, and manual post-production — compositing, editing, colour grading, and finishing. No physical filming takes place unless expressly quoted.
- By commissioning work, the client acknowledges and consents to the use of these production methods, including generative rendering technologies, in creating the deliverables.
- Some platforms and jurisdictions require digitally generated or synthetic media to be labelled when published. Complying with any such labelling or disclosure requirement when publishing the deliverables is the client's responsibility. The studio will confirm, on request, which methods were used in a given deliverable so the client can label accurately.
- The studio does not use the client's confidential materials to create work for other clients.
3. Quotes, payment & scheduling
- Prices shown on the site are "from" anchors — the binding price is the written quote for your brief.
- 50% of the quoted fee is due to book a production slot and begin work; the remaining balance is due before final, full-resolution files are delivered.
- Once production has begun, the booking deposit is non-refundable — it covers work already performed and the reserved slot. If the studio cancels a project for reasons other than client breach, unearned fees are refunded.
- Quotes are valid for 14 days. Timelines start when the deposit clears and all required client materials have been received.
4. Revisions & scope
- Each tier includes the stated number of revision rounds (Starter: one; Controlled: two; High-End: three). A revision round is one consolidated set of notes on the delivered cut.
- Revisions cover adjustments to the delivered work — timing, colour, text, pacing, swaps within the approved direction.
- A change of direction after style frames are approved (new concept, new scene, different product, different format) is new scope and is quoted separately.
- Additional revision rounds beyond the included ones are available and quoted before the work is done.
5. Client materials
- The client warrants that it owns, or is licensed to use, everything it supplies — product designs, logos, trademarks, images, music, claims, and copy — and that the studio's use of those materials for the project does not infringe any third party's rights.
- The client indemnifies the studio against claims arising from materials, instructions, or claims the client supplied.
- The accuracy of product claims, health or performance statements, and regulatory compliance of the advertisement's content is the client's responsibility.
6. Delivery & acceptance
- Deliverables are supplied digitally, in the formats stated in the quote.
- The client should review deliverables promptly. Deliverables are deemed accepted when the client approves them, uses or publishes them, or after 7 days from delivery with no written notes — whichever comes first.
- The studio keeps project files for at least 60 days after delivery; retrieval after that may not be possible. Raw project/source files are not included unless expressly quoted.
7. Usage rights & intellectual property
- On receipt of full payment, the client receives a worldwide, perpetual licence to use, publish, broadcast, and advertise with the final deliverables for its commercial purposes.
- Until full payment, all deliverables — including previews and watermarked drafts — remain the studio's property and may not be published.
- The studio retains its underlying tools, techniques, scene setups, and generic assets, and the right to display the finished work in its portfolio and showreel. If a project is confidential, say so in writing before production and portfolio use will be excluded or delayed as agreed.
- To the extent any element of a deliverable is not protectable by copyright under applicable law, the studio grants (and the client receives) the broadest usage rights the law allows; the licence above is not a warranty of registrability.
8. No performance guarantee
The studio delivers craft, not outcomes it can't control: it does not guarantee advertising performance, engagement, sales, platform approval, or that any platform's moderation or ad-review systems will accept a given creative. Fees are not contingent on campaign results.
9. Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the studio's total liability for any claim arising out of a project is capped at the fees actually paid for that project, and the studio is not liable for indirect or consequential losses — lost profits, lost data, or business interruption. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
10. Confidentiality
Each side keeps the other's non-public information confidential and uses it only for the project. This survives the end of the project.
11. Privacy
This site sets no cookies and runs no analytics or trackers. Contact details you share over WhatsApp or email are used only to respond to you and run your project, and are never sold or shared for marketing.
12. General
- These terms are governed by the laws of India; courts at Bengaluru, Karnataka have exclusive jurisdiction.
- If any clause is found unenforceable, the rest stay in force.
- The studio may update these terms; the version in force when your quote is issued applies to your project.
